Cheryl Lockett BSc (Hons) MSc MBA FICR CSci,
Managing Director:
is a biochemistry and MBA graduate with over 20 years of technical and business experience in biotechnology, pharma, medical device, and other high tech industries.
Cheryl has worked for a number of European and North American companies, ranging from start-ups to multi-national organizations. She has experience of drug discovery, preclinical and clinical research, product regulatory approval, business development, manufacture of medical devices, commercial exploitation of innovative technologies, and the establishment and running of companies.
Prior to co-founding BlueVector, and as Managing Director, Cheryl transformed Mentor Biopolymers, the Scottish subsidiary of Mentor Corporation (now part of Johnson & Johnson), from a start-up research and development base into a successful manufacturing company. Previously, she was Managing Director of A-Life Ltd, and Head of Business and Product Development for Vitrolife UK (both medical device/biotech subsidiaries of Vitrolife AB). At Roche’s headquarters in Switzerland, Cheryl trained company staff, investigators, and regulatory authorities around the world on the design and conduct of clinical trials, before she moved into Roche’s pharmaceutical business development group (specializing in competitive intelligence). Her earlier years were spent running the UK clinical trial programmes for Astra Pharmaceuticals’ CNS, respiratory and pain control products, and working for the Sandoz Institute for Medical Research (University College London) and Allelix (Canada’s first major biotechnology company).
Cheryl is a:- Fellow of the Institute of Clinical Research.

Brian Lockett BSc MSc MBA, Director:
is an electronics engineering graduate, with an MBA, and a Master of Science degree in computing. He has wide experience of technical sales and consulting, business management and strategy, project management, and IT. Prior to BlueVector, Brian worked primarily in computerized control systems and their application across an exceptionally wide range of industries including automotive, oil and gas, nuclear, defence and security, and food and drink. Computer simulation, business modelling, and management information systems are particular interests.
